MyEclipse 8.5 Installation configuration and Plug-in installation guide

1, myeclipse 8.5 installation   
   installation package: MyEclipse 8.5

   after getting setup, click Install, note the middle path setting, It is recommended that Commons and MyEclipse directories be placed in one directory (no effect on configuration)

2, myeclipse 8.5 configuration
   2.1. Configure the character set for a workspace

    steps: Select Window ===> Preferences, open Preferences window, as shown in figure:  
         

Click "General ===> Workspace" and select "Other" under "Test File Encoding" to select the encoding you want.
2.2. Configure the operating environment (default is MyEclipse JREs)
Open the Preferences window. As shown in figure:



Click "Add" and select "Standard VM" in the JRE type selection box that pops up.



Click "Next", and in the open window, point the JRE home to the JRE of the JDK's installation directory, and then automatically import some packages when the directory is selected. The following figure:



Click Finish to remove the previous JRE and select the JRE you just added.
2.3. MyEclipse 8.5 Boot optimization:
Description: Because the Myeelipse 8.5 is a lot of plug-ins, resulting in slow startup. Therefore, you can optimize the speed of the memory by disabling some unused plug-ins.
Open the Preferences window, as shown in figure:

Remove unwanted add-ons, where we typically use Tomcat, leaving only MyEclipse Easie Tomcat6.

2.4. Import of code templates
Open the Preferences window. As shown in figure:




Click Import, select the code templates.xml file, and click OK to complete

2.5. Import of code format templates
Open the Preferences window and select Java–formatter, as shown in the figure:



2.6. Install SVN plugin
Address: http://subclipse.tigris.org/download.html

Copy the SVN subclipse-site-1.6.16 plug-in package directly to the dropins below the MyEclipse 8.5 installation directory to restart the myeclipse.

2.7. Install Checkstyle Plugin
Download Address: http://sourceforge.net/projects/eclipse-cs/files/Eclipse%20Checkstyle%20Plug-in/.
Copy the Checkstyle plug-in package directly to the dropins below the MyEclipse 8.5 installation directory to restart the myeclipse.

After the reboot, configure the check rule, open the "Preferences" window, and select "Checkstyle" as shown:


Click "New" in the open window, as shown in the figure:

Fill out the new Checkstyle name, click Import, select the Checkstyle.xml file, and click OK.
and set the My_style that you just named as the default, as shown in the figure:

          
   2.8. Installing the Findbug plugin
     Download Address: http://sourceforge.net/projects/findbugs/files/
    will findbug plug-in package, copy directly to MyEclipse 8.5 installation directory, restart MyEclipse

in the dropins below.
