Nat-virtual server and port triggering (V2)

The Nat virtual server is mainly used for the flow from the adslwan port to the LAN port. Sometimes, you will find that you can log on to another Wan FTP server from the adsl lan computer, but you cannot log on to your adsl lan ftp server from the WAN. Why? Because you have not configured a virtual server, ADSL will not forward FTP connection requests sent from the wide area network, so your adsl lan ftp server cannot receive FTP connection requests at all. By default, the ADSL firewall is open to all outgoing items, and all incoming items are closed, that is, it is easy to go in. After you set up a virtual server, the IP address of the FTP server requested by the WAN user is your adslwan port address, and then the ADSL forwards the request to the lan ftp server, then forward the FTP server response. I have read many people and have not made it clear. In fact, the virtual server is like a trunk station. If you want an FTP server to be accessed from the Internet, you need to set the IP address of the FTP computer to the virtual server address. Just like some customers who have bought a video recorder but cannot see the home from the outside, they need to set up a virtual server and then let ADSL forward requests to the network video recorder of the LAN, then forward the video recorder's request to the WAN port.

You can use this function to build a web server in the LAN, build your own personal website, buy a Domain Name and map the IP address of your adslwan port. Unfortunately, China Telecom has closed port http80, as a result, only your domain name: port number can be used for access.

The server address is the destination address that ADSL uses to forward external requests.
The external port range is the target port range of the external request.
The internal port range is the target port range used by ADSL forwarding.

The trigger port allows ADSL to record the destination port used by the LAN port PC address.
