Network settings of Parallel Virtual Machine Fedora 14 under MAC-"shared network" Settings
Recently, I started to switch to the MAC platform, but I should say there are more surprises. As a program on a Linux platform, virtual machines are indispensable. Parallel on the MAC platform feels better than VM ~
But the problem is:
During the installation of the ora 14 virtual machine, Parallel "quick installation" Virtual Machine (but few programs are installed, even ctags and CSWs all have ......) Can directly connect to the network. So I manually installed the software on my own, but I couldn't access the Internet ......
Very depressing, but by comparing the network settings of the two installation methods, we have finally done a good job ~
The basic steps are as follows:
Prerequisites:
A. Manually install Fedora 14. If you install it quickly, you can directly access the internet.
B. Install Parallel Tools
Start setting:
1. Parallel network settings are as follows:
Click the settings icon in the lower-right corner of the Parallel Virtual Machine:

Yes, select "network", (⊙ o ⊙ )... Click the spider's icon and confirm the settings as follows: "share" and "Share Network"

2. Virtual Machine Fedora 14 settings
First, make sure that the IP addresses of Fedora 14 are in the same CIDR block when you do not need to share the network. Use the default one. For example, my address is 10.211.55.6 and the MAC address is 192. XXX. XX. XXX.
Let's start:
I. Right-click the network settings icon in the upper right corner:

Ii. Click "Connection Information"

Select eth0 and click "Edit..." on the right.
Iii. In the pop-up Edit System eth0 dialog box, click "Connection automatically" to enable automatic Connection, and then set the following tabs one by one.
A. Wired Tab -- default (the MAC address is automatically generated by the VM and does not need to be changed)
B. 802.1x Security-Default
C. IPv4 Settings
Select Automatic (DHCP) from the List as follows:

D. IPv6 Settings (this setting may be useful)
Method: Select Automatic from the List, as follows:

Set and Apply. Try it with the built-in firefox ~
