New Google tool Gmail email users can perform video chat

 

 

 

Google has released a new tool to convert its free email service into video and audio channels, allowing users to see and hear each other's conversations when they contact each other.

To use this feature launched on Tuesday, users need to install a software and a webcam. Many laptops are equipped with built-in cameras.

After the new software is installed, Gmail users will obtain the video chat function.

Video functions can be used only when all participants have a Gmail account. The new software will be compatible with windows or Apple's Mac OS.

Google has added the ring tone and whistle feature for its Gmail to gain more market share from Yahoo and Microsoft in the free email field.

According to ComScore data, although Google has made great progress in enabling users to use its Gmail mail service, its number of users worldwide is nearly 0.113 billion, an increase of 34% over the same period last year, however, it still ranks third, far behind Microsoft and Yahoo. The number of global users using Microsoft's email service was 0.283 billion, an increase of 13% over the same period of the previous year. Yahoo ranked second with nearly 0.274 billion million users, an increase of 8% over the same period of the previous year.
