New users of iterm2 should know Special Functions
Iterm2 is a software that better replaces Mac's built-in terminals and iterm. Some of its most well-known features include:
Select and copy
Iterm2 has two easy-to-use selection modes: copy mode.
One is to use the mouse to select a path or word in iterm2, then iterm2 will automatically copy.
The other mode is "no mouse". Command + F: The iterm2 search mode is displayed. Enter the first few letters of the content to be searched and copied, and confirm that your content is found, enter the tab, and the search window will automatically change the content and copy it. If SHIFT + tab is entered, the left side of the search content is automatically selected and copied.
Path already exists
The previous tab path is automatically used in the new tab, so that:

System hotkey
For example, after setting the system hotline, the iterm2 shell will be directly called up in the form of a translucent window on a normal browser or editor window.
After you press the same system Hot Key, it is automatically hidden. This is very helpful for processing anytime, anywhere.
Automatic completion
Enter the first few letters, and then enterCommand +;Iterm2 will automatically list similar commands previously entered.
Cut history
input command + Shift + H , iterm2 will automatically list the clipboard history. To save the clipboard history to a disk, set it in preferences
General> save copy/paste history to disk.
Full Screen Switch
Command + enter enters and returns full screen mode
Exposé all tabs
Command + Option + e, and can be searched
Save current Snapshot
Window> Save window arrangement.
Likewise, restore a snapshot:
Window> restore window Arrangement
in preferences> General> open saved window arrangement. set automatic snapshot recovery
