In the field of data exchange, how to effectively solve security and efficiency issues has become the main proposition. What is SPOH technology? 

SPOH technology synchronization process over hardware) is a synchronous hardware processing technology, which is the product of further integration of distributed design and hardware implementation. Through the latest hardware chip technology, SPOH technology enables each port of the switch to have independent data processing capabilities, and further deploys some functions distributed on the online card layer to the port, implements port-level data synchronization and exchange.

The first is data behavior for individual ports, such as ACL and QoS. Data processing has nothing to do with other ports. If each port can be separately processed, it can achieve synchronous processing of all ports on the entire machine, greatly improving the efficiency, performance is not affected by the increase in the number of ports or the increase in traffic.

The other is L2, L3, Or multicast data forwarding between different ports. Data processing is related to relevant ports. resources need to be coordinated between different ports and the corresponding ports need to be processed in a unified manner.

SPOH's design philosophy is to use different processing methods to maximize the processing capability of the entire machine for two different types of data behaviors that have different port dependencies: l2, L3, multicast, and other data are forwarded between different ports and associated with multiple ports. The resources of the associated ports must be coordinated; the ACL and QoS depend on a single independent port, and the Implementation Effect is subject to the resources of the port.

The specific implementation mechanism of POH technology is that, based on the distributed design of online cards, a dedicated FFPFFP: fast filter processor) processing module is provided for each physical port, the FFP module can implement hardware processing QoS and ACL functions, and implement port-level synchronous processing of ACL/QoS for data on the whole machine. At the same time, it forwards L2/L3/multicast data through the line rate of the line card chip, the distributed hardware design from the line card to the port is implemented to effectively distribute traffic, relieve the load pressure on the ASIC chip of the Line Card, and greatly improve the overall data processing capability of the switch.

Application Environment of SPOH Technology

POH is mainly used to provide powerful data processing capabilities in environments with a large number of QoS and ACL functions enabled. Therefore, POH is suitable for the core use of large networks, especially big data multi-service network environments.

In these network environments, security needs are extremely important due to the proliferation of Network viruses and attacks. As the core equipment of the network, due to the huge traffic, A stable operating platform is required to forward large traffic at the same time. These networks work closely with a variety of applications to run a large number of application systems. If there are latency-sensitive applications, qoS must be enabled for switching devices, including core devices. Therefore, in this application environment, SPOH technology is particularly required.

For example, in the current financial and telecom networks, big data transmission for multiple businesses has become the norm, and the core layer applications for education and other industries also fully show this demand trend: multimedia Applications such as VOD and electronic reading room have become common projects for campus network construction. Integrating the four main functions of teaching, scientific research, life and office is the general trend of campus network development, the construction of an operational network with the functions of network management billing and identity authentication is an internal requirement for the sustainable development of the campus network ...... All of these require synchronization to ensure stability, security, intelligence, and efficient data processing. ACL and QoS are the first priority.

Therefore, with the wide application of broadband and value-added construction, big data transmission, and multi-business integration, the demand for data centers, ERP business systems, and real-time e-commerce is increasing. It can be seen that the potential market of SPOH technology is also expanding, and SPOH will surely usher in development opportunities as the mass data exchange application environment matures.
