Noise caused protests against court orders to shut down a data center in Paris

As the noise caused protests and complaints from local residents, the Paris-based UIL District Administrative Court ordered the data center company Interxion to close its Paris data center. Urbaxion 93 Association, a resident organization in the region, complained about the noise of the data center and nearby diesel storage tanks, and the Court subsequently withdrew the company's license for use, interxion has two months to decide whether to appeal.

Other data centers in the region may become new targets for protesters.
