Although the document library of SharePoint brings us other functions that cannot be managed by documents, such as document version management, document template management, document check-in and export, and integration with office, however, when using Sharepoint to build a site, it is not a document library that is suitable for all of our document storage situations. When using the document library as the document management area, note the following:
1.Document creation
There are two methods to create a document:
A.Create from template in Document Library
Enter the password in the dialog box.
B.Create a document by uploading
To create a file in Sharepoint, you must first upload the document and fill in the Document property information. In some environments, the document attribute page does not appear after the document is uploaded. You need to edit the document and edit the attributes again. Sometimes you can use list attachments to store documents.
2.Document opening
There are usually two types of document opening process: one is open through word, and the other is open through web pages.
A.WordPage opens
FAQs
B.WebPage opens
By setting the SharePoint document library and opening properties in the browser, word does not seem to work. Infopath is okay. If you want to set word to open in the browser, you need to set it in resource manager.
Find the DOC file type, click "advanced", set it, and select preview in the same window
When you open the web page, you will be prompted to click the "back" button in the browser, and you will not be able to return to the previous page. The problem mainly occurs in Office 2003.
You can use both methods to open the web page. Once you open the web page, you will be prompted that the web page cannot be found.
Environment: Windows XP
Solution: Clear temporary folders, but cannot solve the root problem.
3.WordUpdate
If you update the word without using version management in the document library, you must keep the original Word file name and overwrite the file. If the file name is not the same, you can only delete it, re-upload it, and fill in the relevant document information.
4.Content in the document library, file name
In general, the file name is not a very standard file name, which generally carries some date, or version information and other identifiers. However, after being uploaded to the document library, the corresponding link is the file name. At this time, users are generally uncomfortable. The link is not a standard file name.
Solution: Use a tool to create a field to display the real file name of the file, and give the document a link
