Open-source JavaCMS: magnolia

Magnolia is an open source Java-based Web Content Management System (CMS) built in Java content knowledge base standards (JSR-170 ). In the process of using it, I found that its interface is indeed very distinctive: it gives a Win8 feeling. Record its usage here.

Note: I checked the meaning of Magnolia, a type of Mulan.

First, record the installation method, which is quite simple:

1. Install JDK and set the JAVA_HOME environment variable. This is a step required by the Java system. Many developers can skip this step.

2. Download the Magnolia CMS Tomcat bundle compressed file

3. decompress the zip file and run startup. bat in the magnolia \ tomcat \ bin directory.

After the server is started, enter http: // localhost: 8080/in the browser /. If the installation is successful, a welcome screen will appear:

Take a look at the Public Instance in the lower right corner. There are two connections:

Visit> superuser, password superuser

Let's take a look at the Administrator page, which is quite Win8 in style and has animation effects.

Shows the page of a common user (I modified the content in some places ):

Go back to the Administrator Page and click "Page" in "Edit". The following Page is displayed. You can make various modifications to the page.

You can right-click on the page to modify the file, just like operating a file in Windows.

Note: The page content cannot be modified here.

If you want to modify the content of the page, you need to return to the welcome page http: // localhost: 8080 /, click Login to the Admin Central in the lower left corner (the logon interface is the same as the administrator interface ).

Right-click the Page and choose Edit Page to go to the editing Page. The editing page is displayed on the "About" page.

You can add Component to the page. There is a pencil button in the upper right corner of each Component. Click this button to edit the Component content, as shown in:
