The Oracle tutorial being looked at is: Oracle acquisition TimesTen improve database software performance. Oracle announced June 9 that it agreed to buy TimesTen, a private software company that enhances the performance of database applications that require fast response times such as stock and ticket bookings, TimesTen.

TimesTen's infrastructure products are often used by Oracle users to provide high-speed buffering for Oracle databases.

Oracle says it will use TimesTen technology for its own database and middleware products to improve availability and response time for customer applications. TimesTen products are also used to manage events, transactions, and data for real-time billing and call center systems.

The deal is expected to be completed by the end of July.
