Overview of domestic PAAs and positioning of eeplat

In 2014, the cloud computing industry in China entered a rapid development stage. Over the years, the popularity of cloud computing has led the cloud computing industry to enter the application stage. Major vendors in The IAAs, paas, and SaaS markets have made great efforts to bring cloud computing applications at these three levels into practical use. IAAs vendors have basically matured, have mature management technologies and virtualization platforms, and have provided commercial applications for a period of time. Major Cloud computing vendors have already entered the mature application stage in IAAs, and are focusing on the PAAs field. The components of their PAAs platforms have become the focus of various cloud computing vendors. SAAS vendors are no longer like those in the past few years. Common information systems such as ERP, HR, CRM, OA Office, and project management all have SaaS products, and the number of users has also steadily increased.

As cloud computing is becoming increasingly popular, the eeplat PAAs platform is in a very important position in the PAAs field and will play an important undertaking role between IAAs and SAAS. For PAAs platforms, Gartner classifies them into two types: application deployment and operation platform apaas (application platform as a service) and integration platform ipaas (integration as a service ). The PAAs platform is usually referred to as apaas. The metadata-driven enterprise-level PAAs platform belongs to apaas. Apaas solves the problem of how a single application is based on the PAAs platform infrastructure, while ipaas solves the problem of how multiple applications are integrated and interacted.

For apaas, Gartner has three types: instance PAAs instances, which mainly support underlying basic platforms, and framework paas, which mainly addresses the development environment issues, the third type is metadata PAAs metadata paas, which mainly solves the problem of rapid development and release of enterprise applications.

The current PAAs development in China is at the fastest stage. All Major Cloud computing vendors and large and medium-sized enterprises are building their own cloud platforms based on Paas, this type of paas products are mainly framework paas, while eeplat PAAs belongs to the metadata PAAs field.

It can be seen that metadata PAAs focuses on the enterprise application field, Rapid Application Development, deployment, and release, reducing development costs and improving development efficiency. Framework Paas is mainly designed for enterprise application O & M deployment and effective resource utilization. At the application level, eeplatpaas is closer to enterprise application development.

The PAAs platform for enterprise applications is the final focus of enterprise users and software development organizations.
