A new version is released in the Operating Environment of nx oe (Operating Environment). The versions of the corresponding Block and File are vnx oe Block R5.32 and vnx oe File V7.1, respectively. At the same time, EMC released three hardware enhancements for the new version:
1. Dual-port 10GBase-T copper I/O module;
2. Dual-port 10GbE optical fiber I/O module;
3. VNX 7500 SP memory expansion.
The series of articles will be discussed separately. In this article we will discuss dual-port 10GBase-T copper I/O module and dual-port 10GbE optical fiber I/O module.
Product Overview
Nowadays, successful enterprises need higher bandwidth and more features to maintain their competitive advantages. To better serve these enterprise customers, EMC released two I/O service modules for the new VNX OE version, this service module is applicable to vnx oe Block R5.32 and vnx oe File V7.1 devices.

1. These two new I/O modules are applicable to VNX and VNX gateway types:
The 10GbE optical fiber module is only applicable to vnx dm.
The 10GBase-T module is applicable to VNX Storage Processor iSCSI and VNX Data Mover IP

3. Customer installation unit
4. Applicable only to vnx oe Block R5.32 and vnx oe File V7.1
5. iSCSI used for DM files. RPQ is required for both modules.

The new I/O module is part of the widely deployed VNX in the industry, which helps reduce network complexity and independence, compared with existing equipment, it has business advantages in terms of data throughput, Port independence, performance, and port integration.
