Throughout the process I will explain how to create a 3D model and then give it a neon-like glow with a variety of simple tools, filters, and other PS options. The trick is to set the light source: it's not acting out of the glow, but trying to make it more beautiful with subtle high light.

Before they are synthesized in PS, we need to prepare 3D software and make some settings for it. You will see clearly how to control the components quickly and easily, and how to use this technology in other projects. If you are not familiar with 3D software, you can start from the eighth stage of post-production by looking at the material provided above. If you want to do the first step, you may need a V-ray installation package and be familiar with its various settings.

Create a new 3DS (3Ds Max) file and configure V-ray as the rendering engine. The V-ray setting is basically the default here, except for a few adjustments. Open the Render Settings window (render Setup) and then come to the V-ray tab. PS: Here V-ray is English, now I have not installed V-ray, so I can not open the software one by one corresponding to the translation, we look at the picture should be able to understand it ~). In the image sample menu, set type to adaptive DMC. Click Antialiasing Filter, and then select Mitchell-netravali from the Drop-down menu. Now in environment to select the first item, should be called "Skylight" bar, bar color to white, the value of 0.01. Then enter the indirect illumination tag and click it. Under the Bounces menu, set the GI engines to irradiance map and light cashe, followed by a value of 1.0.

Go to create > Graphics > line to draw your text. When all the endpoints are in one line, the lines look smoother, drag the strokes, rotate the stroke handles, and you can do a loop. Keep trying, check the two options in the Red box in the diagram (enable in Render and Vieport, then set the thickness to 1.2 and select Meshsmooth in the Modifier list menu).

Create two V-ray Light (create>lights>vray>vraylight) and place them in front and rear of the text. The front light source is the primary light source, select it and then set the multiplier of pure white to 60. The back of the light is the background light, mainly to make the text edge light. The setting is basically the same as setting the multiplier to 70. Create a V-ray camera and place it in front of the text.

Open your material editor, then create a new VRAYMTL, set diffuse reflection diffuse for solid black and reflect for solid white. Click Fresnel Reflections (er reflex?) Then set the Fresnel IOR to 0.35. When you start rendering graphics, you need to note that you want to separate render: Save your image, remove the background light, then render the image and save it as a transparent background png. Repeat this step, the difference is to remove the foreground light, leaving only the background light.

now copy your background light and put them in a random position. These different light sources will have a subtle effect. Try using a variety of colors and 100 to 300 multiplie, and then render your object as PNG.

to add some spice to the final effect, you can add some weird geometry: don't limit yourself, and unleash your creativity. When your picture has been filled, remove the font from it, select V-ray camera then do the same setting, open the depth "Depth-of-field" and render the remaining layers.

Open two main light source, remove background light. Come to the Material editor panel and create a new blending material. Material 1 Control the color of the object, import VRAYMTL diffuse reflection for solid black. Material 2, is the color given to us will render the wireframe. Again using VRAYMTL diffuse reflection for R112 G0 B156 and no reflection. The third setting is (Point selection?) Vrayegdestex.

Open your first two PNG files with PS, that is, the two with the main light source. Add a brightness adjustment layer in the middle of two, then adjust the brightness value to 100, click the top layer and select Create clipping mask (clipping Mask). Change blending mode to screen. Next, open the picture of the neon texture, put it on top, and change the blending mode to the screen.

Copy the background light layer, then Gaussian blur, radius of 20px. Duplicate the high light layer, Gaussian blur radius of 10px, transparency 70%, and copy the Neon layer, the same Gaussian blur radius of 70px and 20px. Import wireframe layer, blending mode set to screen then 10% transparency. Copy this layer transparency to 100%. The top layer uses a masking mask, a 20%-transparent soft brush to apply, leaving a light.

Open the layer that has a lot of geometry, and then drag on the bottom, above the background layer. Change the blending style to the screen. If you feel that the depth of the 3DS rendering you is less obvious, you can filter > Blur > Lens blur to enhance the sense of depth.

Then, create a new layer and fill it with black. Filter > Noise > Add noise with a quantity of 30%. Gaussian distribution, select Monochrome. Now add a Gaussian blur radius of 2px. Then image > Adjust > Levels then change the input level to the level you need (this is 40/0.37/58). Select all objects, Layers > Layer Masks > Hide selections. Finally, change the layer blending mode for the screen, the feeling of the sky appears.

finally create a new hue saturation adjustment layer, adjust the hue to-5. After this, create a new brightness contrast layer with a brightness adjustment of 30. Add some star highlights to the bright part of the font. Create two gradient layers between the background star and the geometric layer. Then finally adjust the whole picture and decorate some details until you are satisfied.
