Photoshop Design Circular color phase diagram effect diagram

We use PS to draw color wheel map, color wheel map is color phase diagram, it fully displays the Hue ring 360 degrees of all colors, PS hue/saturation command according to the color wheel design, but in the hue/saturation command, you see not the color wheel, but the color wheel of another form-color bar, You can take the color bar and cut it off along the edge of the color wheel. Then expand the effect, through the color wheel map, you can clear the range of colors, understanding the color wheel map and hue/saturation command, can deepen the understanding of Hue/saturation command, improve the level of use of the command.

First look at the effect of the picture:

I first carefully looked at the figure of netizens, several times after I came to the conclusion that the grid in this ring is 36x11, clockwise direction is 36, horizontal is 11, of course, including the middle of the white, White is also counted as a lattice.

According to the aspect ratio of the above data, I created a new canvas, size magnified 20 times times, namely 720x220.

Create a new layer, fill the PS from the rainbow gradient, it is estimated that the original is this, looks almost the same.

Add a black and white gradient to the black white effect of the original image and use the "strong light" in the blending mode.

Mosaic, which is a crucial step. I said before that I magnified the aspect ratio by 20 times times, so the size of the mosaic is also set to 20 pixels.

This step is also important, re-edit the size of the image, turn off the constraint ratio, and set the height to 720

OK, so what you see is this.

Polar coordinates, there's nothing to talk about here.

The effect after polar coordinates

Create a new path in the path and draw a circle of random size

Ctrl+t adjusts the size and position of this path circle, and the diameter is set to the size of the image, which is 720. PS By default the long width bar displays a percentage, but you can right-click there to set it to pixel

Ctrl+alt+t, the center position remains fixed, reducing the diameter by 65.5 pixels. Why 65.5? I calculated roughly, because the original image in the horizontal lattice is 11, so 720 divided by 11, and finally reached an approximate number 65.5. Don't be overly confident in your own visual, and the numbers are always more reliable.

The same thing goes in the circle, and each circle shrinks by 65.5.

And so on to finish the work behind

Set a 2 pixel size, 100 hardness of the brush, color selection white, point pen, on the path right click Stroke

This is the effect of the completion

and a radial stroke, with a rectangular tool to draw a white rectangle of random size.

As you just edited the circle path, ctrl+t adjusts the size and position of the square, noting its height, which is 2 pixels, just like the stroke of the circle.

Ctrl+alt+t rotation Copy, this is the easiest step, 360 divided by 36 squares equals 10 °, so at the angle where I rotate 10°

Then press Shift+ctrl+alt+t until the loop completes. This is my favorite step.

There seems to be no stroke in the middle of the original artwork, there are two ways. One is to copy the smallest circle path in the path.

Then paste it in the vector mask with the "subtract" method

Another option is to select the smallest circle path in the path, right-click the selection, and press ALT to click on the Mask button in the "Radiation stroke" layer to add a mask. In fact, I am more accustomed to the previous one.

The final result is the completion
