Photoshop draws a super shiny pencil icon

First step

Create a new document 950 pixel wide 600 pixel height, resolution set to 300 pixel/inch and white background. Make a rectangular selection with a fixed size of style, with a width of 400 pixels and a height of px.

Second Step

Drag the guide and align all the edges and vertical centers of the selection.

Third Step

Open the Gradient editor and select Metal in the preset menu. If you cannot see the Presets in the list, click to the right and then select metal from the triangle button in the list. Click Add. Create a new layer and name it "pen body." Fills the gradient from the bottom to the top of the selection.

Using the Curve command, the parameters are set below to create a smooth gradient effect ~!

Fifth Step

When a selection is active, creates a new layer that fills the color #d60005 of the selection, and then sets the opacity of the layer to 60%. New layer name "color".

Sixth step

Create a new guide that looks at the image below. Copies a copy of the pencil-body layer. It is named "Metal," and moves it to the top of the layer. Select the rectangular marquee tool, draw it as shown below, and then click the Delete key to delete it.

Seventh Step

Select the elliptical marquee tool, hold down the ALT and SHIFT key to pull a positive circle in the center of the guide line. Right-click to select Transform selection, then horizontal zoom to 50% (W), press ENTER to determine. (Will render an ellipse)

PS: This circle needs to be reused, so we'll need to store the selections in the right key.

Eighth step

The rectangular marquee tool that is still active (that is, the ant line), drag the selection to the right edge of the "metal" layer. and add a vertical guide line until it snaps to the center of the selection.

Nineth Step

Select the rectangular Marquee tool, and then hold down the Shift key while making a selection, as shown below. Then press Ctrl+shift+i to do a reverse command, delete the extra press DELETE key.

Tenth step

Copy the metal layer, then press CRTL the left mouse button to click the layer, load the metal selection, and then move to the right 3-4 pixels, press DELETE to delete the redundant, so you can draw a circle

11th Step

The layer style parameters for the small ring are as follows:

12th Step

Copy the ring layer and move 6 pixels to the right. Repeat this step, and then do a group. Select these 3 layers and combine them in a group, or merge them together to ~!

13th step

Copy the "Metal" layer and rename it to "Eraser". Move the eraser layer about 60 pixels. Go to Image > Adjust > Hue/Saturation (ctrl+u) parameter as shown below.

14th Step

Create a new layer and name it "nib." Use the Polygon Lasso tool to make your selections, as shown in the figure. Fills the selection with light yellow orange. Move the layer to the top of the background. Press Ctrl+d to cancel the selection ~!

15th step

Copies a copy of the pencil-body layer. and is named "Tip gradient effect." Move the layer above the tip of the pen. Press Ctrl+t to transform the selection, and then set the proportions as shown in the following figure. Then use hue saturation ctrl+u, Hue set to 33, saturation set to 53, brightness set to 37, coloring remember tick, and then determine.

16th step

Select the "Tip gradient effect" layer and press Ctrl+alt+g to make a clipping mask.

17th Step

Select the tip gradient effect layer and press ctrl+t to change the effect as follows:

18th Step

Use the previously stored circular selections again, as shown below, and remove the selected area from the layers of the pen body and color.

19th Step

Select the rectangular marquee tool, make a selection at the tip of the pen, and then create a new layer and name it "wood." Use white fill layer, then go to filter > Render > Fiber. Use 10 for all two parameters of a filter. Crtl+t, rotate 90 degrees counterclockwise, and expand it as shown below.

20th Step

Ctrl+t free transform, as shown in the figure. The blending mode is set to 60% for soft lighting and opacity.

21st Step

Select the Elliptical marquee tool to choose from, as shown below. Select the "Wood" layer and press DELETE to remove it. Select the "Tip gradient effect" layer, use hue saturation ctrl+u, and then set to 100 saturation. Then use the command ctrl+l, the parameters are as follows. This will make the nib more like the effect of lead.

22nd Step

We're almost done now. Press Ctrl+alt+shift+e to seal the layer command and you will get a separate pencil layer. Then copy the 2, one for the shadow, one for the reflection. (Remember to hide the background layer before you do it, otherwise it is not transparent)

23rd step

Select the three layers, and then press Ctrl+t to change freely, -30°.

24th Step

Select reflection Layer, Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur, Radius 3, set opacity to 60. Select the shadow layer, then go to filter > Blur > Gaussian blur, Radius 7, set opacity to 80.

25th Step

Select the reflection layer, add a layer mask, and use the Add Layer Mask button at the bottom of the layers panel. Mask fills the gradient tool, from black to white.

26th step

Select the pencil layer and apply the gradient overlay to use these settings.
