1. Create an oval selection in the image. Of course, you can also create selections for other shapes. As shown in the following illustration:

2. Select the "View" menu, move the cursor to "show" above, click on the "Selection Edge" command in the Pop-up submenu, and remove the check mark (√) on the left of the command to hide the selection. As shown in the following illustration:

If you want to paint the edges of a selection with a brush, or apply a filter to a selected image, you can see the changes in the edge image more clearly when you hide the selection.

However, it should be noted that, although the selection is not visible, it still exists and limits the effective areas in which we operate.

If you need to display the selection again, then execute the command again.
