1, create a new 1024 * 768 pixel file, background filled with black. Create a new layer and use the elliptical marquee tool to pull out the selection shown in the following figure, feather 250 pixels and fill it with dark red: #9A1217, as shown below.

2, pumpkin consists of many pieces, first to make the middle of a piece, a new group, with the Pen tool to check out the selection shown in the following figure, to add a layer mask to the group.

3, create a new layer in the group, select the Gradient tool, color settings, such as Figure 3, and then from top to bottom pull out the linear gradient shown in Figure 4 as the background.
