Definition of Path:

A "path" (PATHS) is a closed or open curved segment of a Bezier curve used in Photoshop. Bezier is the 1962 French Renault Company's PEB. A parametric curve based on "Infinity", which is based on this curve, completes a design system of curve and surface unisurf, and is applied in the company in 1972. The Bessel method combines the infinite approximation of functions with the set representation, making the designer draw the curve on the computer as handy as using a conventional drawing tool. Of course you may not have this feeling, because you do not use the path, think it is not good control, well, after reading this article, I believe your views will change. The following illustration shows a standard Bezier curve effect.

As we can see from the diagram, a Bezier curve is defined by four points, where P0 and P3 define the curve's rise and end point, also known as the node, and P1 and P2 are the control points used to regulate the curvature. A polygon consisting of four dots p0p1p2p3 is called a control polygon of a Bezier curve. By adjusting the P0 and P3 nodes, the beginning and end of the Bezier curve can be adjusted, and the curvature of the whole Bezier curve can be controlled flexibly by adjusting the position of the P1P3 to meet the actual needs. Graphics at the beginning of a friend may take some time to adapt to the practice. Here is a little experience: in general, adjust the curvature, and need almost, and then adjust the node to change the position of the curve to fit to the desired. In this order, you can reduce repetitive operations.

Usually, only a Bezier curve is often insufficient to express the complex curve area, in Photoshop, in order to construct complex curves, the Bezier curve group is often used to complete the process, and the Bezier curve is connected to each other. As pictured above.

The use of Bezier curve stitching is often mainly the following kinds of splicing methods, as shown below.

A, the connection mode

The whole curve is composed of a Bezier curve (a Bezier curve is a straight line between the beginning and the end of the connection), which is generally used to outline a polygon region composed of a straight line segment.

A.

B, Splicing method

Consisting of two two or three B-curves, they reach a continuity in the connection point, called 0-order geometric continuity.

B.

C, splicing mode

An entire set of curves consisting of a Bezier curve and a two or three-time Bezier curve. The two Bezier curves reach the continuity of B at the intersection, that is, the first order geometry is continuous.

D, splicing mode

Composed of two two or three B curves, they are in the connection point in addition to the C-continuous characteristics, their main normal is connected to the same line, the two Bezier curves at the intersection of the same curvature, that is to achieve two-order geometric continuity.

D.

From a mathematical point of view so much, although boring but for the reader friend better understanding of the path is helpful.
