The computer used to install the DNS server must use a static IP address, such as 172.16.16.99. After the system downloads the DNS server components, click the Start-Administrative Tools-DNS command to open the DNSMGMT console, as shown in Figure 1. In this console, you can complete the setup of your DNS server. In the WindowsServer2003 system, the default is to use the local computer as the hardware device for the DNS server, and the IP address or name of the local computer is assigned to the DNS server, Figure 2 is the YL server assigned to the [) NS server.

You can remove the default DNS server and then add it again, with the following steps:
① open the "dnsmgmt-[dns]" console, right-click the "DNS" option, and select Tochinami the "Connect to DNS Server" command from the pop-up shortcut menu, as shown in Figure 3.

② pops up the "Connect to DNS Server" dialog box as shown in Figure 1, selects the "This Computer" single option, as shown in Figure 1, and then clicks OK to add a DNS server. Alternatively, you can select the following computer single option and, in the text box below it, lose the computer name or IP address of the remote DNS server, and then click OK.
