I started to learn about Ubuntu, So I first installed a Ubuntu system under the Virtual Machine and planned to train my hands first. After the installation, I found a very bad thing, that is, the Chinese Input Method is too silly. No matter how you switch, it cannot achieve the smart pinyin effect. I have found many tutorials on the Internet and installed the scim input method according to the above steps. However, when I press Ctrl + space, the input method is the same as before, and the effect does not change before and after scim installation. So I wondered, what is going on ??
When I select "system-> Preferences", I see the "ibus Settings" and "scim Input Method Settings" options. I suddenly thought, will it be because I have installed ibus when installing the Language Pack and then installing the scim input method, the ibus input method is always selected due to the CTRL + Space key conflict, what about scim input methods? I think this is a little more likely, so I will practice it myself.
In order to be appropriate, I have also deleted the ibus and scim input methods (use the following command ):
Sudo apt-Get remove ibus; (delete the ibus input method)
Sudo apt-Get remove scim; (delete scim input method)
Next, download the scim Chinese Input Method again:
Sudo apt-Get install scim; this command is a platform for downloading scim Chinese Input Methods
Sudo apt-Get install scim-Chinese; this command is used to download and install the Chinese input method.
After completing the preceding steps, log out of the account and log on again after exiting the system. Press Ctrl + space to view the scim intelligent Pinyin input method. The input method is really good, compared to the previous ibus. However, it may be that I did not complete the installation of ibus during the installation, resulting in no intelligent Pinyin input method.
To learn about Ubuntu, you still need to work hard !!
Please point out any mistakes. Thank you !!
