3.3.1 unlike Oracle SQL * Plus, PL/SQL developer provides users with a dedicated Oracle database storage Program The integrated development environment of the unit allows you to easily create applications on the server. PL/SQL developer has functions such as program editing, compilation, testing, debugging, optimization, and query. It is a very convenient third-party development tool. PL/SQL developer is easy to install and use. For details, refer to the random Guide provided by the software (PL/SQL developer users guide ). After PL/SQL developer is started, the system requires that you enter the name and password of the logon user and the database to be connected. If the logon user is dBA, select sysdba in the "Connect as" option; otherwise, select normal by default. The connection method is the same as SQL * Plus, as shown in Figure 3-7. Figure 3-7pl/SQL developer connection and startup 3.3.2 toadtoad (tool of Oracle Application Developer) is a professional and graphical Oracle application development and database management tool, it features fast database access, easy to use, and powerful functions. Over the years, Toad has earned a high reputation among Oracle professionals and has become the preferred tool for many Oracle professionals. Toad has a powerful browser that allows you to quickly access data dictionaries, tables, indexes, and stored procedures, and directly operate database objects in the browser window. The built-in SQL editor can generate, edit, run, and optimize SQL statements. By editing and using the running results window, you can test the running results while editing. In addition to standard editing commands, you can also quickly query field names or format SQL statements. To help users thoroughly test their applications, the toad suite also integrates data generation and stress testing tools. The data generation test tool helps developers quickly generate a large number of test data with correct reference relationships and simplifies the application test process. The stress test tool can simulate user traffic in the real environment, it predicts the running performance of an application system in a real production environment and helps you solve the performance and scalability problems of the application system.
