2. If you do not see the ruler, click to select the Ruler check box in the Show/Hide group on the View tab.
3. Place the cursor in front of the number you want to align in the table.
4. Press Ctrl+tab to insert a tab before the number.
5. On the left side of the horizontal ruler, click Left-align tabs three times to change to decimal tab.
6. On the horizontal ruler, click where you want to place the tab.
Add a decimal tab to multiple table cells
To align a number to a decimal tab in multiple table cells, follow these steps:
1. Select the range of table cells you want to format.
2. On the Start tab, click the Paragraph dialog Box Launcher.
3. Click Tabs.
4. In the tab stop position box, set the tab value you want.
5. Click decimal point under Align, and then click Settings.
6. Click "OK" two times.
