Precautions for IPOD/itouch/iPad/iPhone beginners

3. Jailbreak

Without jailbreak, all software must be purchased through the iTunes store (either paid or free). Even if you get a good software from a friend, I'm sorry, installation is not allowed.

4. DFU Mode

It can be understood as a Windows-like security mode. Many important operations, such as an itouch problem, need to be switched to the factory status (or new device jailbreak.

Method:

If you do not connect to your computer, press the START key for about 2 seconds. After the screen displays the apple logo, press the Home Key (that is, the round key at the bottom of the screen) for about 10 seconds, after the screen flashes, release the two keys and then enter the DFU mode. Then, connect to the computer and enable iTunes to enter the recovery mode.

 

5. Failed to start DFU Mode

Step 1 is difficult for new users to master for the first time. They need to practice several times more. If the operation fails, the device will not be able to start up. You can also press and hold the "enable key + Home Key ", generally, it can be started after several seconds.

 

6. iTunes cannot identify the itouch issue after the third-party software such as 91 assistant and ifunbox is installed.

After jailbreak and tossing, sometimes iTunes may fail to identify the itouch device, and you will be prompted to restore the factory settings (but when it is restored, you will have to jailbreak again, you may not be able to escape from jail.) do not worry.

 

Use 91 or ifunbox to find the/private/var/mobile/Media/directory, and delete the following itunes_control directory. (Of course, after deleting this directory, the MP3 and video on itouch are gone and need to be synchronized back to iTunes again)
