Preliminary Observation on Baidu ranking

Over the past half a month, I have been paying attention to my blog ranking in Baidu. Of course, the reason is that I am preparing to optimize Chinese websites, and Baidu is currently the largest Chinese search engine in the market.
In the past, Baidu and other Chinese search engines were not paid too much attention because they used to be English websites. Over the past 30 months of observation, I have some small experiences to share and discuss with you.
First, Baidu spider is extremely active. From the analysis of server log files, Baidu spider crawls frequently and frequently. Baidu Spider visits my blog every day and crawls dozens of webpages at least. My blog is only available for less than a month, and the number of webpages is limited. It can be seen that Baidu spider's activities are already quite impressive. It seems that massive crawling is Baidu's strength, and no other search engine can compare.
However, it is interesting that Baidu does not have the largest number of Chinese webpages. In addition, the frequency of crawling by Baidu spider seems to be related to web page updates. Websites updated every day should attract more frequent visits from Baidu spider.
Second, Baidu ranking algorithms seem to focus more on factors on the page. External links are less important than Google. My blog has been opened for less than a month and there are few external links. However, because the structure of the blog itself is relatively optimized, some of the less competitive keywords rank well in Baidu.
Third, the Baidu ranking algorithm should not be similar to the Google Sandbox effect, or the influence of time on the ranking is very weak. The ranking of different keywords in my blog almost appeared in Baidu search results at the same time, and there were no popular keywords that were slow.
Fourth, if you want to name the search results in Baidu, the target keywords should be completely matched in the page. For example, if you want your website to appear in front of "website optimization" during user search, the words "website optimization" should appear continuously on your webpage, rather than "website" in the first section, "optimization" in the second section.
Fifth, the Baidu ranking algorithm seems to be based on web pages, with less attention to the subject of the entire website. This indicates that the Baidu ranking algorithm lacks complete semantic analysis.
For example, the word "food wholesale website" appears in one of my blogs. Of course, it is just an example. In Baidu, my blog ranked 10 in the "food wholesale website" and returned to the second page a few days later.
Obviously, my blog has nothing to do with food wholesale. Baidu did not comprehensively consider the subject of my entire website.
Sixth, Baidu is sensitive to search engine optimization techniques. Over-optimized web pages cannot rank well in Baidu search.
7. In general, Baidu's ranking optimization is relatively simple compared with Google's ranking. As long as your website complies with the most basic user-friendly and search engine optimization principles, it should be well ranked.
It is worth noting that Baidu spider crawling frequency is one of its strengths and brings great convenience to website builders. We can experiment with different techniques and quickly see the results. This is a bit like AltaVista many years ago.
