The primary responsibility of the project manager is to do a good job of leadership in planning, organizing, and controlling the work, in order to achieve the project goal, the project manager should clarify the goal in terms of the plan, ensure that the goal is consistent with the customer, organize the work, and the project manager should ensure the resources required for the work; control the work, the project manager must track the actual work progress and compare it with the planned progress.

Skills required for an excellent project manager: in addition to playing a leading role in project planning, organization, and control, the project manager should also have a series of skills to motivate employees to succeed, win the trust of the customer. Strong leadership skills, employee abilities, extraordinary communication skills, good interpersonal skills, ability to handle pressure and solve problems, and time management skills.

Leadership:
The project manager should draw out a project vision for the team image, encourage project members to work together to successfully complete the plan, and try their best to avoid a situation where everyone is frustrated, there are many ways to boost the morale of project members, such as verbal encouragement, group mail praise, prizes, assigning more important jobs, and concentrating on listening to member reports and affirming the morale, these encouragement should be implemented as soon as possible. If a good behavior is rewarded after a long time, the reward will not play a major role in maintaining and promoting such behavior.

The Project Manager provides guidance and coaching functions for the project team, rather than the hierarchical management of isolation and command. What the project manager needs to do is to develop guidelines and outlines, A project member decides how to complete the task. If the task cannot be completed as planned, the project manager should explain the task and maintain its credibility. At the same time, the team members should establish a disruptive friendship and loyalty, hold dinners and parties from time to time, and celebrate the success of the stage, so that the team can increase cohesion and combat effectiveness in activities and chats.

Cultivate employees' abilities:
The project manager has the responsibility to train and train the project members, regard the project as a good opportunity for each member to increase their own value, and create a good learning and working environment for them, it is inevitable that members should be encouraged to innovate, take risks, and make decisions, but this will be the experience of their growth. Develop masters for experienced Members and inform experienced employees that masters are part of their project work. The Project Manager often asks Members: "What did you learn when you are engaged in project work ?".

Communication skills:
The project manager must have good verbal and written skills, but should listen less and more, listen more to the opinions of customers and team members, and guide everyone to speak on important issues. At a team meeting, the Project Manager asks for others' response and opinions after proposing an issue, rather than transferring the question to the next topic immediately after he finishes speaking his insights. The project manager should learn to guide members and give feedback and encouragement when encountering problems.

Compression capacity:
The project manager should play a buffer effect between the project team, the customer, and the company's management. If the customer or the company's management is dissatisfied with the project progress, the project manager should accept the criticism to avoid cracking the project team. When communicating with the project team regarding weaknesses, we should use an incentive to encourage them to accept the challenges. When the team complains about the customer's needs or is unwilling to make changes, the project manager needs to turn these into the goals that need to be overcome by members.

 

Ability to solve problems:
The project manager should encourage team members to discover and solve problems as soon as possible. At the same time, the project manager should ask the team members for suggestions on solving the problems.

Time management capabilities:
Identify the Primary and Secondary order and importance of things, increase the priority of important things, and try not to do things that are neither important nor urgent.
