In this tutorial I will show you how to use Adobe Photoshop and illustrator to create a cool retro-style letter poster in just 10 steps. I worked on the pixelmator version (Apple). I hope our friends like it!
The finished effect is as follows.
Here are the specific steps to make:
Step 1
First come up with some ideas on paper. I used illustrator for typography. I found "Avant garde" in Google Pictures, and then I chose an image containing a "a", which is the style I want. Then, in Illustrator, use the Pen tool (P) to create "A". You can hold down the SHIFT key to make sure the line is straight. "A" is done, select the Type tool (T), and use the Avant Garden font to enter BDZ.
Step 2
Select the text you created, go to font > create a display outline. Then, select the Z-base with A Direct selection (A) and move it as shown in the following figure (in short, look like this).
Step 3
Now open Photoshop, create a new document, I'm using the A4 size. Then fill the background layer with brown (#573E2A). The text created in the illustrator is then copied and pasted into Photoshop as a shape layer. In this way, we can use the selection tool (a) and the direct Selection tool (a) to adjust it as a vector.
Use the direct Selection tool (a) to move the base of a, moving vertically down until it reaches the base of "Z" (see 1), moving the other in the same way (see 2). Use the Pen tool (P) to create points on top B to move them to the top (see 3).
