Step 1

Creating a brush is relatively easy, but unless you know exactly what you want, even the most professional brushes won't help you.

It's a snowy scene, of course, but what do we want?

Perspective is very important for the reproduction of snow. It is not true that the whole scene is covered with white dots-it appears flat and unreal. To make snow more natural, we need to divide the scene into five areas:

Background: All levels of snow accumulate together to create a white wall, and are mixed with cloudy skies. Copy this effect, simply by covering the background with smoke.

To get a little closer to the background, we can see the shape of the snowflake. They are thick and small, like a splash of white dots.

Closer to us, a larger snowflake shape. They also appear to be falling faster because of the perspective. A little bit of dynamic blur can be a more effective way of drawing results.

As we get closer to snowflakes, snowflakes become bigger, but more sparse, or they cover important positions in the picture. They are faster, so they are blurry.

Snowflakes are in front of you, as long as one or two can cover the entire line of sight. Use them carefully, then add large blur effects, and you can also use an unfocused effect to ensure that the snowflakes are in the lens focus range.

Depending on the perspective scenario you use, you can increase or decrease the number of areas appropriately.

Step 2

Copy the picture and create a simple scene arrangement effect area. This part does not need to be precise, as long as the basic perspective is guaranteed, with background and foreground, as well as the middle part.

Step 3

Create a new layer and draw a large white edge at the top with a soft circle brush.

Step 4

Reduce layer transparency, so that the background is white and less blue.

Step 5

Create a layer mask, black The brick column and let the bricks out.

Step 6

Create a new layer and overlay the scene with a dense, thin snowflake.

Step 7

Use the layer mask again to draw the brick section. (Use the ALT key to quickly copy a layer mask do you?)

Step 8

Create a new layer again and smear the scene with a larger but more sparse snowflake.

Step 9

Select the layer on the previous step to perform filter > Blur > Motion blur. Adjust the angle, use small distance effect to draw the effect of wind blowing snowflakes.

Step 10

Create a new layer again, adding larger but smaller snowflakes.

Step 11

Use the dynamic Blur tool again to create a sense of speed. The distance is bigger and the adjustment is more dynamic than the last different angle.

Step 12

Create a new layer again add the last layer of snow, closest to us, also the largest. This layer is not required and sometimes it blocks the key elements of the screen and destroys the screen, and if you decide to add it, be careful to test and check.

Step 13

This layer should have the strongest blur because it is already out of focus. You can add more Gaussian blur (Filter > Blur > Gaussian blur) to enhance the effect after motion blur.

Step 14

Two brick columns are not the same distance from us, you can add a mist layer to get a better perspective effect. Create a new layer and draw a large line with the soft circle brush.

Step 15

Use the layer mask to reproduce the front brick column.

Step 16

Lowering layer transparency makes another brick column have a fog effect.

Step 17

You can use the same method to create a snow scene, the picture will be more warm and peaceful.

Notice the difference between an intuitive smear and a slightly more precise smear. But does the last one look a little strange? So much snow without snow? We'll do it next time!
