First step:

First of all, of course, prepare the material. Here to explain is that the choice of material is a certain requirement, that is the quality must be high, to be very clear, and even pores must be clearly visible. In addition, the material that has been revised is also best not, because it is not the most natural of the original bottom chart.

In fact, there is no exact same step or process with PS for late revision, and the process and method of this revision depends largely on your inspiration and expectations for the object.

Here, the author chooses a pretty natural beauty model as the material.

Press C to activate the cropping tool, and we need to remove the section below the beauty model and bring the focus to her face.

Step Two:

Press Cmd/ctrl+shift+n to create a new layer, and then use the Healing Brush tool (J) to set the parameters as follows:

What do we do with the healing brush tool? This is mainly used to eliminate the beauty model face wrinkles, acne printing and other things we do not need, so that portrait of the face looks clean and smooth.

Step Three:

Click Cmd/ctrl+option/alt+shift+e to combine the background with the "Fix brush tool" layer, and convert the layer into a smart object, so that the image is non-destructive.

Next, we continue to treat the beauty model's skin to make it look more delicate. The author uses the USM sharpening filter, filter > Sharpening >USM.

USM Sharpen Filter The parameter settings here depend on your requirement for portrait skin clarity, adjust the quantity, radius, and threshold parameters, and know that you have the effect you want.

Note here, because we have just begun portrait repair, so do not make too much adjustment to the skin to prevent late PS excessive.

Fourth Step:

In the filter mask panel, use the base, soft black brush to clear out the unwanted hair parts.

Fifth Step:

Merge the layers again and convert the layers to smart objects again. Filters > Other > Customizations:

Use a soft black brush on its filter mask to reduce or eliminate the sharp contours of hair, lips, spectacles, noses, or faces.

Sixth step:

The visible layer is merged, the author found that the beauty model's nose looks rather coarse, in order to correct it, the author used the Liquefaction tool. Filters > liquefaction, using the "Forward transform tool" at the same time.

Drag the nose profile from right to left with the forward transform tool.

Seventh Step:

followed by the neck part to deal with (don't forget here, many PS beginners will focus on the face and forget the neck area).

The author creates a new layer, uses the "#e3d1c7" soft Brush (color is selected from the skin of the beauty model's neck), the opacity and flow is set to 30-35%, and then smear it in the visible part.

Likewise, don't get too much PS here, lest it be unnatural.

Eighth Step:

To make the portrait more harmonious, the author creates a new layer to add some shadow to the neck. The author uses the #785b52 color soft brush, opacity and flow rate is set to 30-35%, while the mode is adjusted to multiply the bottom.

Nineth Step:

The author uses an adjustment layer here to change the color of the beauty model. Layers > New adjustment layers > Optional colors.

Here you can notice that the author changed the color of the model's eyes (adjusted for cyan and blue). If you don't have these colors, you won't have to adjust.

Of course, you should also remember to adjust the color to fit the model in the next steps.

In the optional color panel, the author uses a black soft brush, opacity and flow settings for 30-35% to remove some unwanted stuff from the neck, shoulder and eye swelling.

Tenth step:

In this portrait revision, the author also uses the color balance adjustment layer.

In the color balance layer panel, I continue to use the soft black brush to remove the hair, neck, shoulders and eyes of the cyan.

11th Step:

In the portrait tonal adjustment, the author also uses the curve adjustment layer to enhance the beauty model The contrast degree of light and shade.

12th Step:

The author also uses a dynamic adjustment layer to reduce the color saturation of the model.

13th Step:

To add more light to the model, the author creates a new layer and uses a white soft brush to smear the model's cheeks, forehead, nose, chin and lip.

This sets the pattern of the layer to soft light, 100%.

14th Step:

Create a new layer, set the blending mode to "overlay" 100%, and fill it with a 50% gray.

Activate Dodge and burn tool, range is midtones, exposure is 20%, once to fix beauty model's light and shadow, here should pay attention to detail processing (eyes, nose, cheeks and forehead).

The following figure is the result of the author's normal mode and superposition mode processing.

15th Step:

After dealing with skin, hue and light, it's the lips of a beautiful model. To make the lips appear more abundant, the author created a new layer, using #c06171 soft brush on the lips to smear. Then change the blending mode to soft light 60%.

16th Step:

This step is to deal with the eye area of the makeup. The author used the #e3cac1 soft brush on the eyelid to smear, and then set the blending mode to 100% positive stack.

If we do this, we can finish this post-repair picture.

Summary:

PS Repair diagram methods are many, the steps are not the same, but the general idea is the same, polishing the main items are: skin (grinding to make it delicate), tonal adjustment, light shadow adjustment, detail adjustment (lips, makeup) and so on.
