A lot of times, when you finish a portrait picture, always feel not enough impact, how to do? Then, in this tutorial, you will learn how to create a super textured portrait of the post tutorial to make your photos more impact-resilient.
First step
Create a Curve adjustment layer (Layer > new Adjustment layer > Curve), and set blending mode to filter. Sets the curve to default. Click the graph layer mask and fill it with black. Rub your eyes out with a paintbrush (make sure you've clicked the layer mask). If the eyes are too bright, reduce the opacity (in this particular case, the transparency is 55%).
Second Step
Create a black and white adjustment layer (Layer > New Adjustment layer > Black and white) and set the blending mode to multiply.
Third Step
Press CTRL + Shift + ALT + E to create a new layer from all visible layers. Go to the image > Adjust > Shadow/Highlight, Slide the shadow of the small slider, improve the brightness of the shadow, the high light remains unchanged.
Fourth Step
Press CTRL + Shift + ALT + E to create a new layer from all visible layers. Select Dodge Tool (keep the default setting, Range: midtones, Exposure:: 0%), use the Dodge tool to draw the following sections: eyes, sharp nose, cheekbones, forehead, lip, chin, neck, especially Iris.
Fifth Step
Press CTRL + Shift + ALT + E to create a new layer from all visible layers. Go to filter mirror > Sharpen > USM Sharpen. Use the 1-2px radius and 50-100% to sharpen the image.
Sixth step
Create a hue/saturation adjustment layer (Layer > New adjustment layer > Hue/saturation).
Seventh Step
Create a gradient Map adjustment layer (Layer > new adjustment layer > Gradient map) default settings (black and white). Sets the blending mode to soft light, which increases the contrast.
Eighth step
Create a Curve adjustment layer (Layer > new Adjustment layer > Curve). Drag the right slider to the left.
Nineth Step
Create a gradient Map adjustment layer (Layer > new adjustment layer > Gradient map), and select a preset for one of the colors. Set the blending mode to soft light overlay, if the effect is too strong, reduce the opacity.
