PS teach you to make a fine Volkswagen logo

This tutorial will show you how to use layer styles, radial gradient tools, and polygon lasso tools to trace the legendary mass image.

Our tutorials are divided into two brief stages:

1. Create a round spherical surface

2. Draw "VW" logo (the main shape of the public logo-translator note)

First, create a circular spherical surface

First, we execute File > New in Phoptshop and create a new 250x250 file, using the properties set in the following figure

Before we start drawing the logo, find the toolbox located on the left side of your work area, down to the bottom of the toolbox, change the foreground color to #82b2e0 and the background color to #012b62. These two colors are the main colors of our logo.

Now we start to draw the basic circle of the logo. Select the rectangular Marquee tool in the toolbox, and then hold down the SHIFT key and draw a circular selection on the canvas, as shown below.

Now press Ctrl+backspace to fill the selection with a preset background color.

Using the toolbox again, this time we use the gradient tool. Make sure that the gradient type you selected is the foreground color to the transparent gradient.

Like the screenshot below, cross your selection and create a gradient fill to create the logo's appearance.

Now that we have the circular spherical surface of the logo, and then, in the next phase of the tutorial, we're going to draw the actual logo.

Second, draw the logo

Before we start, press D to reset your foreground and background colors to white and black, and then press X to invert the two color positions. In this section, we'll simply draw the "VW" logo and then set the layer style projection, inner shadow, and gradient overlay on the layer.

First, execute layers > Create new > Layers. Then, use the Circle Marquee tool to draw a circular selection on the sphere, as shown below.

Perform edit > stroke, set width to 10px, position as interior

Once you click Confirm, you should get a similar result with this.

Now, we have to do some tracing exercises. Use the polygonal lasso tool to draw some lines to represent the basic structure of the "VW" flag. And, obviously, "W" is under "V". Use the Polygon Lasso tool to draw some lines like the screenshot below, you can use the diagram at the beginning of this tutorial as a reference. Note that you can draw a line on the white stroke you just created, because later we will also fill the line selection with white.

If you are satisfied with your constituency, edit > Fill and choose White.

The drawing part has been completed and it is time to give the logo some style and class 3D effect. Locate your Layers panel, right-click the layer where the logo is located, and select a blending option. Apply the following settings in the projection, inner shadow, and gradient overlay.

For the gradient overlay, click the thumbnail next to the text "gradient" to make sure you set the gradient fill style like the screenshot below. Also, apply the settings seen in the screenshot in the gradient editor.

Once you have applied all the effects, you should get an effect similar to the one shown below.

Your public logo is finally finished. You can optionally use overlay or soft light layer, add some luster to the logo, make it look more like the following image.
