Create a gradient background
First step:
Create a new 800*600px document and make a copy of the background layer and name it background_copy.
Step Two:
Double-click the Background_copy layer, tick the gradient overlay, and set the following values
Check Imitation color checkbox
Style: Radial
Zoom: 150%
Create a gradient with the left color #c8c5b8 and the right color #aaa593
Finally get a gradient background:
Add noise to Background
Step One:
Create a copy of the background_copy layer, and then grid the layer and name it background_copy_2.
If you use Photoshop for CS6 or earlier versions, you need to click on Layer Grouping (layer) layers, and then merge the group (layer) Merge group instead.
Set foreground color to #c8c5b8 and background color to #aaa593
Step Two:
Click on the filter noise to add noise, adjust the number of 5, distribution mode is the average distribution, check the menu color checkbox.
Step Three:
Change the blending mode of the background_copy_2 layer to dimmed, which will effect the enhanced noise in the background.
Step Four:
Click on the bottom of the layers panel to create a new fill or adjust Layer button, and select a color scale.
Step Five:
Adjust the shadow value to 72, the gamma value is 1.05, and the highlight is 236, which adjusts the shading of the background layer.
Create text
Step One:
Use the Freshman normal font to create a fully capitalized text with a size of 125pt, a color of #43a0a8, and set word spacing for visual
Step Two:
Create a copy of the type layer and move it below the original layer.
Step Three:
Select the text copy layer, enter the free transform mode, edit free transform (mac:command-t,windows:ctrl+t), click the right ARROW key once, and then click the down ARROW key once, move it to the right and down one pixel, and then determine.
Step Four:
Click the keyboard option+command+shift+t (windows:alt+ctrl+shift+t) key combination 10 times.
Create smart filters for 3D shapes and shadows
Step One:
Select all the copied text layers and set their color to #c7b299
Step Two:
Select all the layers that you just copied, convert them to Smart filters (filters) to Smart filters, and rename them to 3d_extrusion. Create a copy of the layer, drag down to the bottom, and rename to shadow.
Apply a layer style to the original text layer
Double-click the original type layer and add the following layer styles:
Step One:
Tick The Strokes and set the following values:
Size: 2
Location: Internal
Color: #f2eee1
Step Two:
Tick the inner shadow and set the following values:
Color: #464646
Opacity: 100%
Use global light for reverse selection
Angle: 129
Distance: 5
Blocking: 50
Size: 2
Step Three:
Tick the pattern overlay and set the following values:
Blending mode: Soft light
Pattern: Fine Diagonal lines
You can try other patterns and blending modes to make the text look cooler.
And finally, that's the effect.
Add a layer style to a 3D extrusion layer
Double-click the 3D extrusion layer and add the following layer styles:
Step One:
Tick the bevel and Emboss and set the following values
Method: Carving clearly
Size: 13
To use the global light marquee with the reverse selection
Angle: 82
Height: 16
Check anti-alias marquee
Transparency of high-light mode: 0%
This is done by creating a 3D shadow effect on the basis of a 3D shape.
Step Two:
Tick the contour and apply the following values:
Check anti-alias marquee
Step Three:
Tick the color overlay and set the following values
Color: #265559
This step you can use your imagination to choose the color you like.
You can see how to use a bunch of styles to create a 3D text, and of course you can adjust some values to your liking to make it look cool. The following effect is the end of setup.
You can use the mobile tool to move the text layer to the position you like.
Making Shadows
Step One:
Select the shadow layer and click on the filter blur motion blur, adjust the angle to 55, the distance is 20 pixels. You need to be consistent with the 3D text angle.
Step Two:
Change the blending mode of the shadow layer to a positive overlay and use the Move tool to move it to your preferred location.
Step Three:
Click the Create new Fill or adjust Layer button at the bottom of the Layers panel and select hue/saturation.
Step Four:
Click this adjustment at the bottom of the panel to cut to this layer button and set the saturation value to-65
