PS Tip: Use Halo to beautify fonts

Tip Shadow word is one of the simplest and most commonly used text effects. The shadow word has the obvious stereoscopic effect, in many design occasions needs to use it. This article describes how to use Photoshop5.5 to make two kinds of shadow words, one is projection shadow word, the other is perspective shadow word.

I. Projection Shadow Word

1. Create a new RGB file size 12cmx6cm with white background.

2. Select the texture entry for the filter menu and execute the texturize filter. Set the Texture:sandstone,scaling:100%,reliefe:8 in the Texturizer dialog box.

3. Select the Text tool in the new image input "shadow word" three words, font for italics, the size of the points. The text layer is then converted to a normal layer.

4. In the Layers panel, drag the shadow word layer onto the Create New Layer button, copy the layer, and name the duplicate layer "shadow layer."

5. Close the shadow word layer, select the blur entry for the filter menu, and execute the Gaussian filter. Gaussian Blur is done on the shaded layer, and radius 5pixels is set.

6. Click on the "shadow word" layer and drag the shadow layer below the "shadow word" layer.

7. Use the mobile tool to move the shadow to the appropriate position, making it stagger a little distance from the upper text layer.

8. The layers are merged to complete the projection shadow word production.

Two. Perspective Shadow Word

1. Take the 6th step above, select the transform item of the Edit menu, execute the Distort command, and distort the shadow layer.

2. Drag the two small squares above the deformation box respectively to adjust the shadow layer to the appropriate position. Then press ENTER to confirm the deformation.

3. Merge the layers to complete the production of perspective shading.

Summary: The production of Shadow word mainly uses the basic function of the layer. The shadow Word can be made by copying the layer as the shadow layer, then blurring the layer, and finally adjusting the position relation of the layer appropriately.
