The Win7 system can create a jump list, a common file or task as a shortcut to the Start menu or taskbar item, which is the most significant improvement in Windows 7. Each time you open a file, Web site, or task, you can go to the shortcut in the list by simply using the Win7 Jump List. However, unlike Windows Xp,windows 7, these shortcuts are not consolidated into one location. Win7 's Jump List lists each program's files, sites, or tasks separately. To see the Jump List for the program icon on the taskbar, right-click the icon.

If you feel that these used icons are too disturbing to you, you can disable the full Jump List: Right-click the Start menu, select Properties, and uncheck the two dialog bars for privacy.
It is recommended that you do not close the Win7 Jump List, and if you feel that there are too many icons too cluttered, you can remove the shortcuts that you don't use frequently.
