The "1152: error extracting" error may occur in the Installation File Created by InstallShield. How can this problem be solved?
If an English operating system is installed, this problem may not occur, but it is a Chinese or Korean operating system. This problem is likely to occur, whether it is XP, 2 K, or server.
Why is this error?
The answer is that some special characters (such as copyright symbols) may be involved during installation, and these characters may not be recognized in the Chinese system. Of course there may be other reasons.
For the most common causes, see the official Installshield solution, Q107317: ERRDOC: Setup.exe Error 1152.
It is nothing more than re-download and modify the temp permission.
The following describes my installation experience:
My machine is Windows server 2003, Chinese version. The preceding error occurs during installation. You have to go to the English version to install it. So I checked the windows installer version, which is the latest version. Then I checked the temp permission and changed it to writable, but it still didn't work.
I accidentally found a few garbled characters on the installation interface, so I wonder if this is the reason? I suddenly remembered that a project was compiled three years ago because of some French characters in it. I changed the region and language settings to solve the problem. So I ran to the control panel and modified all the settings in English. Restart the machine. Then install it. But at the same time, I found that many of the original normal Chinese characters on my machine are not normal now, so I changed it back.
It is really troublesome to think about it.
