What should we do with the connection settings of the wireless network? What causes the wireless network connection to fail? Here is a detailed introduction.
Wireless Nic installation Factors
The primary factor affecting the smooth connection of a wireless network card device to a local wireless network is the working status of the wireless network card device. We should pay more attention to the installation of wireless network card equipment while ensuring the stability of wireless network card equipment. If the installation is not correct, if it is light, the potential of the wireless Nic device cannot be used normally. If it is heavy, the wireless Nic device cannot work. When installing a wireless network card device, we sometimes see a blue screen error on the screen, we should first take a closer look at whether the currently used wireless NIC Driver is suitable for the local workstation operating system.
For example, if the driver of the wireless network card is only applicable to Windows 2000, but we force the driver to be used in Windows XP, if a blue screen error occurs in the system, the system may still be relatively large. Even if a blue screen error does not occur, such wireless Nic devices cannot be installed efficiently.
Therefore, when installing the driver of the wireless network card device in the local workstation, we must check whether the driver of the device can be used in the system environment of the local workstation. If not, you must access the Internet to find a wireless NIC Driver suitable for the local workstation system. In some workstation systems, we sometimes need to pay attention to the installation sequence of drivers of wireless Nic devices. If the sequence is wrong, the workstation system may not be able to identify the wireless Nic devices.
For example, sometimes we need to first install the driver for the connection interface, then install the driver for the NIC device, and then insert the wireless Nic device into the workstation system. Once the installation order is messy, the wireless Nic device may fail to be installed, which may affect the normal internet access of the wireless workstation and prevent the unlimited workstation from connecting to the local wireless network.
Of course, before installing a driver for a wireless Nic device, we should first check whether the wireless Nic device has good contact with the local workstation. For example, you can check whether the wireless Nic device is securely inserted into the corresponding interface or slot of the local workstation to see if the connection interface between the wireless Nic device and the local workstation is loose.
If we randomly pull the wireless network card device from the USB interface or PCMCIA Interface on the motherboard of the workstation, and insert it in a short period of time, it will easily cause a blue screen error on the System screen, or when the wireless network card signal is flashing, if we suddenly pull out the wireless network card device from the local workstation, it is also prone to a blue screen error, it is even easy to damage the interface of the wireless Nic device or the interface of the local workstation.
In order to effectively avoid this phenomenon, we will try not to perform network access-related operations in the workstation system when plugging and removing wireless network card devices in the future, and for the sake of security, use the System Device Manager to disable or uninstall wireless network card devices.
After confirming that the driver of the wireless network card device is successfully installed, we also need to make appropriate settings for the working parameters of the wireless network card device. For example, we should enter the wireless network connection attribute setting window, in this setting window, set the IP address of the wireless network card device to be in the same subnet as the IP address of the wireless node device, so that the wireless network card device can quickly and efficiently search for the local wireless network.
Wireless Internet access settings
If the Internet access parameters of the wireless workstation are incorrect, the wireless workstation will not be connected to the wireless network smoothly. Therefore, ensure that the wireless workstation can connect to the local wireless network smoothly, we need to carefully check the wireless Internet access settings.
When we check the wireless Internet access settings, we should first log on to the wireless workstation system as a privileged identity, click Start, set, and network connection commands on the system desktop. In the displayed network connection List window, right-click the target wireless network connection icon, right-click the "properties" command in the pop-up menu to open the wireless network connection Property setting interface.
Click the "General" tab on the settings page, select the "TCP/IP protocol" project on the corresponding option settings page, and then click the "properties" button under the project, on the settings page that appears later, check whether the IP address and mask address of the local wireless network adapter device are in the same subnet as the IP address of the wireless node device. If not, we should promptly adjust it correctly.
Next, click the "wireless network configuration" tab to check whether the local workstation can search for the node name of the local wireless network and display it correctly. If the SSID name cannot be found, you can manually enter the SSID name of the local wireless network here, and then click "properties" to go to the "association" option settings page, check whether the "service name (SSID)" information is the same as that of the local wireless network.
Finally, find the "wireless network key" setting item and check whether the "Data Encryption (WEP enabled)" parameter in this setting item has been activated. Once this function is found to have been activated, we also need to check whether the encrypted content entered in the "Network key" text box is the same as the encrypted content of the local wireless network. If the content is different, we should modify it in time.
Wireless signal interference factors
If the wireless workstation's Internet access signal is disturbed by external signals or the signal transmission distance is very long, it is difficult for the wireless workstation to quickly connect to the local wireless network, we need to try our best to eliminate external signal interference, adjust the communication distance between the wireless workstation and the wireless node equipment, and provide a good working environment for the wireless workstation. Once we cannot find the local wireless network node name in the wireless network connection attribute interface, we need to carefully check whether there is a signal interference source between the wireless network card and the wireless node device.
For example, we can check whether there are high-power household appliances like televisions, refrigerators, air conditioners, and so on in the vicinity of wireless workstations or wireless node devices, or check if there are common communication devices like cordless phones and mobile phones. These devices can cause serious interference to the transmission of wireless Internet signals. If these interference sources exist, we must remove them in time, or move wireless workstations or wireless node devices to an open location around us to ensure wireless Internet access is away from interference from various sources of interference.
In addition to external interference sources, wireless signal transmission distance also affects the stability and success rate of the "Hand in Hand" wireless network. Generally, the communication distance between the wireless network card device and the wireless node device should be controlled within 100 meters. After the distance is exceeded, the wireless signal is easily reduced during transmission, this will affect the speed of searching for wireless networks, and even cannot find nearby wireless networks. Therefore, when we find that the wireless workstation cannot "hold hands" on the nearby wireless network, we can try to adjust the distance between the wireless workstation and the wireless node device.
Wireless node Factors
After excluding the above factors, if the wireless workstation still cannot quickly find the local wireless network, it is necessary for us to turn our eyes to the local wireless node device, because the device is the core of the wireless network, once the device is not working properly or has an error in settings, it will also prevent the wireless workstation from connecting to the local wireless network smoothly, so we should check whether there is a problem with the wireless node device.
For example, we can try to restart the wireless node device to release the cache space of the device, or try to restore all the working parameters of the device to the default value, of course, you can try to change the antenna position of the wireless node device. If the above measures fail to allow the workstation to connect to the local wireless network, we can consider using wireless node devices with good performance and hard quality to replace existing devices, it is believed that this will allow wireless workstations to quickly connect to local wireless networks.
