Symptoms:
11gR2 is stuck while executing prerequisite checks, at which point the Oracle user on the Linux server cannot access the/etc/security directory

Reason:
Oui requires access to the/etc/security directory. limited.conf files are checked to determine the various restrictions defined on the OS. This check is as one of the pre-installation check.
The security hardening the system prevents Oui from accessing what is needed and prevents Oui from completing this critical check.

Solution:

Temporarily open READ Access to/etc/security for the Oracle OS user to complete the install.
