1 Enter BIOS, click the System setting option;

2 after entering, click the storage option;

3 go in, there is only one option, is Avago megaraid<serverraid m5210> Configuration utility-e3.19.07.03, click in;

4 after entering, click the Configure option;

5 after entering, click on the clear configuration, that is, to clear the previous configurations;

6 Clear Confirmation dialog box, select Yes;

7 after clearing, the dialog box appears, select OK;

8 after confirming, return to the following interface, choose Create Virtual Drive;

9 Go in, choose Select RAID level, there is raid0,raid1,raid5,raid6,raid10,raid50,raid60 can choose, because this time the server has 6 disks, 5 pieces to do RAID5, a piece to do the global hot spare, So select the RAID5 level, then click on Save Configuration, then click on select Drives (that is, select the disk drive to make RAID5), the first piece to the fifth disk x symbol selected;

10 after selecting these five disks, the following dialog box appears, select OK;

11 then go back to the following screen, click Save Configuration;

12 after saving, the following dialog appears, meaning that the production of virtual disk, that is, RAID, will cause the data on the disk is deleted, choose OK, here because it is a new server, no data required, so it doesn't matter, if it is already used for a period of time the server, there is data, if necessary, Remember to transfer it first;

13 Go back to main menu, main, select Drive Management;

14 Go in, select the sixth disk, here we can see the front five disks are online status, this is because the five disk is selected into a RAID5, so are on-line status;

15 after selecting the sixth disk, click the Operation option and select the disk as the global hot spare in the dialog box that appears, as follows;

Here, the dialog box, in addition to the disk can be selected as a global hot spare (Assign global Spare Drive) can also be selected as a designated hot spare (Assign dedicated heat Spare drive)

16 after the selection as a global hot spare, go back to the previous level of the interface, choose the Go option, a confirmation dialog box appears, select Yes;
