First look at the final effect:
First, import the scene file
Through the author of the "3dmax Making cream ice cream" article introduced, you can make a bucket of ice cream. First, start 3dmax9.0 and import the scene file, as shown in Figure 1.
Second, add the melting modifier
1, select the Lofting object Loft01, click the Modify command panel, select the "Melt" item in the "Modifier list" drop-down box, and go to its properties panel as shown in Figure 2.
Tip: The "Quantity" value in the parameter is used to set the degree of melting, can be set in the 0-1000 range; The melt percent value is used to set the range in which the object melts and spreads when the number value increases; the "solid" column provides the viscosity of 4 substances, such as ice, glass, and can also be customized; "Melting shaft" column is used to set the direction of the melt.
2, click the animation area "Automatic key Point" button, set the melting parameter value for 0 frames, as shown in Figure 3.
3, drag the time slider to frame 100th, modify the melting value, as shown in Figure 4. When you are done, click the Auto Key button to cancel the animated edit.
Tip: When you press the "Auto key" button, animation area surrounding will produce a red border, drag the time slider to another frame, you can modify the position and parameters of the current, and even material related parameters, these are automatically recorded as animation, and finally click the "Automatic key point" button, cancel the edit.
