At present, due to the project of DNA charge transfer, we need to learn some basic knowledge about solid state physics, as well as the basic knowledge of DNA (molecular biology) in the construction of structures, and the introduction of the method DFT (the way to get started in the day). In order to learn the solid has to have a basic concept of statistical mechanics. In the data processing, but also with the use of data processing software, such as MATLAB tools, it is a little to learn. Originally the knowledge system is not perfect, so the difficulty always has. However, learning nothing is a loss, it is progress. So after reading some basic statistical mechanics theory, think statistics is not the focus, this point of knowledge on the entry of solid basically just enough. The focus is also on the understanding of computational methods, that is, the study of DFT (because the whole project is what I used to deepen my understanding of DFT and learn how DFT is dealing with qm/mm system problems). So it's time to go back to studying computational chemistry when you're learning, and pick up other studies when it's necessary (lack of knowledge is completely impossible to advance).
