Reading Notes: Ji Linlin's experience on how to study

I remember, Mr. Lu Xun told a joke in an article: A man from Jianghu langzhong shouted at the market and sold the magic recipe for fixing bugs. Someone paid for a paper roll and wrapped it tightly together. When you open it, there are only two words: diligence and catch. Did you say it is wrong? No, it is completely correct. However, if you do not say so. It is hard work to compress my experience into two words. I would like to say two more words: race against time and never forget to remember. Inspiration cannot be said, but it does not fall from the sky, but is diligent and inspired.

The above is about spiritual things. Now I want to talk about something specific. In my opinion, to work in scientific research, we should work in four aspects:I. theory; II. knowledge; iii. Foreign languages; IV. Chinese. Liu Zhiji of the Tang Dynasty advocated that governance history should be talented, knowledgeable, and knowledgeable. I am reluctant to apply it now. I will talk about the theory, knowledge, foreign language, and Chinese language.

2. Theory

   Now, when talking about theories, we often think of Marxism. In this case, it cannot be said that it is incorrect. However, pay attention to the following points. 1. Marxism develops with the times and is never a rigid dogma. 2. Do not make Marxism so awesome and daunting. You can criticize or refute it. I personally think that the essence of Marxism is materialism and dialectics. Materialism is seeking truth from facts. It is materialism to describe pornography. It is idealistic to describe pornography as black. It is so simple and clear. Philosophers have the power to make profound explanations. I am a layman, not necessarily. As for dialectics, we can also make a sense. Do not stand alone when you look at the problem. Do not stick to it. Pay attention to the connections between multiple aspects and grasp the rules in the movement of things. My kindergarten-level understanding may be closer to the truth. Apart from Marxism, some so-called idealistic philosophers in ancient and modern China and foreign countries should also study their ways of thinking and reasoning carefully. I have a strange idea: of materialism philosophers and of idealistic philosophers are none. This is the same as the vacuum. The absolute vacuum does not exist on the earth. In the old saying of China: "The Wisdom of the thousand worries, there must be a loss. . Therefore, the so-called idealistic philosophers also have many things worth learning. We should never simplify and guide very complex problems as we used to, and stick to the idealistic labels, just "ofuhe changed ".

4. Knowledge

   It requires a wide range of knowledge, and there is probably no objection. Because, no matter how narrow and specific the scope of your exploration, your vision can be extended only on the basis of extensive knowledge, and your research can be further explored. This is close to common sense, so you don't have to make too many arguments. I would like to emphasize that, if we are engaged in humanities and social sciences research, we should learn a little scientific and technical knowledge and be proficient in a natural science, that would be better. The general trend of academic development today is that the subject boundaries are getting more and more mixed, and edge disciplines and cross disciplines are getting more and more. Again, as in the past, it was totally out of date to guard the discipline and hear from each other. In addition, no matter how bizarre or absurd you think of the various academic schools that are currently popular in the west, you must study them and at least understand the outlines of them. You cannot simply follow them blindly or refuse them.

6. Foreign Language

   The importance of foreign languages is well known. If I explain it in detail, it may turn into a snake. I only want to emphasize one point here: from today's world situation, the most important thing in a foreign language is English, which has become a real world language. In this language, we must be proficient in reading, translating, listening, speaking, and writing. Today, I write academic papers. If I only use Chinese, I cannot go abroad or communicate with colleagues from all over the world. If you cannot hear English, you cannot attend international academic conferences. The situation is so aggressive that we must seriously consider it.

8. Chinese

   I propose Chinese here. Some people may think that it is a strange argument. "Can't I speak Chinese? "" Can't I write Chinese? "Yes, you can either say or write. However, with a closer look, we can't help but admit that our Chinese level today is very problematic. Newspapers and magazines published every day can be identified with special words and sentences. I feel more and more that it is not easy to write an accurate, clear, and vivid article. To be able to do this, you must take some time seriously. I even thought that it is more difficult to learn a foreign language than to learn Chinese to a certain extent. Only by recognizing this fact can we improve our Chinese Proficiency and reduce the number of special words and sentences.

I have mentioned four requirements above. In fact, all these words are commonplace. But isn't truth often in the plain sense? This is the same as the "catch" joke I introduced to Mr. Lu Xun. It seems dull, but it is actually the most practical and immediate. When I thought of such an ordinary truth, I did not dare to cover myself, so I wrote it out, but it was just as I did.
