Recommended cable selection for LAN Monitoring System Integrated Wiring
In the LAN, the monitoring system is widely used, including transmission lines, hubs, network management centers, and other devices. The information network is based on the Integrated Wiring System, it directly affects the performance of the security monitoring system. In this regard, it is directly related to the media used to transmit image signals, including coaxial cables, twisted pair wires, and optical fiber cables.
Coaxial cable. The coaxial cable is the most traditional video transmission method, and its anti-interference capability is not strong. It is only suitable for videos with a transmission distance of several hundred meters. However, the cost is relatively low, so it is suitable for monitoring analog cameras in small factories or schools.
Twisted Pair wires.Compared with the coaxial cable twisted pair wires, the transmission distance is much farther, and the maximum value is 2400 meters. It is cheap and easy to access, and has good anti-interference ability, poE power supply can also reduce the number of tasks of Integrated Wiring. However, twisted pair wires have weak anti-aging capabilities, and only one image can be transmitted at a time. Therefore, it is suitable for video surveillance of network cameras in medium and short distances, with relatively scattered camera points, or with relatively close but concentrated points, such as banks, hotel chains, supermarkets, or university campuses.
Optical fiber.Optical Fiber Transmission has the following advantages: long transmission distance, high transmission rate, large bandwidth, low attenuation, and best anti-interference performance. It is suitable for long-distance and large-scale video transmission, such as road intersection monitoring. It can even reach hundreds or even hundreds of kilometers, by converting videos and control signals into optical signals for transmission in optical fibers. It uses optical fiber transmission devices mainly for video optical terminals and optical fiber transceiver. The video optical transceiver is mainly used for analog camera signal transmission. It has low signal loss, low noise and distortion, and high transmission quality, suitable for long-distance transmission.
Fiber optic transceiver is suitable for signal transmission of network cameras. It also has advantages such as long transmission distance, low loss, and strong anti-interference ability of video optical transceiver. The optical fiber switch can also use the PoE technology to power the front-end camera to reduce the task of Integrated Wiring. Therefore, optical fiber is the best solution for long-distance transmission.
In terms of cabling, wired network transmission is the same as that of analog cameras. In terms of data cable selection, the network monitoring camera selects normal network cable transmission. In the Internet world, there are actually many types of "Network cables". Surveillance cameras use twisted pair wires and coaxial cables.
The wiring selection of the monitoring system depends on our monitoring environment and monitoring requirements. When wiring, we need to consider multiple parties and select the optimal solution to reduce the cost investment, it can also achieve good monitoring results.
