See if the DTD or the end of the XSD is a space: some need to press a space, some need to delete a space.

If it bothers you: You can remove the checkmark in Preferences > XML > XML Files > Validation "Honour all XML schema locations". It disables validation that points to the same namespace reference in different schema locations, only the verifiable XML file that was found for the first time as a result.
