WPS Office 2007 Opens the mail merge feature in the latest Personal edition. You can easily refer to the WPS table or the data in the Excel document in the WPS text. However, for some specially formatted data, when you do a mail merge, you can only reference the original data, but not the formatting "references" to the WPS text.
For example, the B-column data in Figure 1, in the WPS table, is shown in uppercase renminbi format.

However, when you use the mail merge feature to refer to the WPS text, it becomes the same as a column of Arabic numerals (Figure 2).

Is there a way to make the special format of column B "unaltered" to the WPS text? Here I offer two options:
The first method: Copy and Paste method
First, select column B in the WPS table. Press the shortcut key "CTRL + C" to copy it to the Clipboard, and then open the WPS table, create a new blank document, press CTRL + V to paste what you just copied into the document, and you'll find that the data format copied in this way is the same as in the WPS table. (that is, capital renminbi format). Then select all the tables in the WPS text, and copy, and then go to the WPS table, put the cursor to the B1 cell, press "CTRL + V", at this point, although it appears that the contents of column B has not changed, in fact, its nature has been very different, although the previous content is displayed as Chinese characters, but the essence is still a number But after copying and pasting for two times, the contents of column B's cells have become text-formatted characters. Save to exit the WPS table, in the WPS text in the mail merge function to refer to column B data, you will find that they are all Chinese characters of the renminbi capital, and no more Arabic numerals.
This method is very good to understand, but also simple, the disadvantage is that the operation is more cumbersome, I am afraid the master is not ashamed. In addition, if the value in column A is changed, the corresponding cell in column B does not change, and we need to repeat it again. So let's take a look at the second method:
The second method: Text function method
The so-called text function method, is to use the WPS table text function, in the WPS table to convert the Arabic numerals to text, so that when the WPS text in the mail merge function reference, the natural will no longer appear Arabic numerals.
Open the source document with the WPS form, place the cursor in the B2 cell, enter the formula "=text (A2, dbnum2][$RMB]g/Universal format)" (without the outer double quotation marks, all content is half-width characters) and enter, at this time, B2 cell has been displayed in uppercase renminbi format. Select B2 cell again, and drag the fill handle down with the mouse to display all cells corresponding to column A as uppercase renminbi format.
This approach fundamentally solves the problem, and if the values in column A are changed, the contents of the corresponding cells in column B are changed instantly. The only inconvenience is that the content of the function is more difficult to remember. In fact, we don't have to memorize it safely, here's a tip (I don't tell him).
In the WPS table, right-click any cell, and in the right-click menu, bring up the Format Cells dialog box and select Special → RMB in category (Figure 3).

Instead of pressing "OK" at this point, switch to "custom", you will find that the format code appears in the text box below "type" (Figure 4), nothing to say, select the code, press "CTRL + C" To copy it off standby, click "Cancel" to exit the cell Formatting dialog box.

Select B2 Cell, enter "TEXT (A2,") in the input box, and then paste the code just copied to the Half-width double quotation mark after the comma to get "=text A2," [dbnum2][$RMB]g/General format; Red][dbnum2][$RMB]g/General format ")", you're done! By testing, removing the content after the semicolon is also displayed as normal, which is the previous formula "=text (A2," [dbnum2][$RMB]g/General format ")".
