I personally think the convolver in foobar2000 is quite powerful. I used dfft to simulate the tone of vacuum tube and classic headphones. I still wanted to create a machine, but I couldn't buy any materials. You can go to foobar2000's old nest to see how to download the impulse file package dedicated to convolver. Recently, I want to carefully study which impulse is the best. First expose my audio device, old sblive 5.1 and Cambridge bookshelf audio, kx 3538 driver, Windows XP. The self-built ASIO is driven by kx. The sampling frequency is 48 khz, 256 ms/12288 samplers. The music uses ape, 640 Kbps, in "The Land of the Sky.
Now I have summarized my personal auditory experience and comments on each impulse as follows (when an athlete goes online !) :
In the voice of Esther kinderspiele, urei 1178 is the best, runze has tension, and the treble is clearer, but the bass is not strong enough. SPL goldmike feels a little dumb. The overall performance of SPL Charisma is between the two, but it is ambiguous in the low frequency range and not transparent enough. The dynamic range of joemeek SC2 is slightly better than that of joemeek SC2.
In dans avant de Tomber's violin performance around 1 minute 37 seconds, joemeek was slightly stuffy, DBX 160sl was brighter, and SPL goldmike was clear but did not feel as thick as above.
As for the SPL tubevitalizer series, it is stuck in my hearing limit-it is no longer enough to be bombarded by the sound of sennheiser mx500 every day. In the future, I have the money to buy a schol or mint for use, or Bayer dynimac's stuff ......
