Replicate partitioned Tables and Indexes

When initializing the Subscriber, replication is able to copy the Partition function and Partition schema of the partitioned table and partition index into subscriber so that table and index are in phase The same partition schema created. However, replication does not synchronize updates to the Partition function and Partition schema to subscriber, that is, only when the initial subscriber is copied, Partition function and Partition schema.

Replication supports partitioning by providing a set of properties then specify how partitioned tables and indexes should Be treated.

The first set of properties related to partitioning is the article schema options that determine whether partitioning obj  ECTS should is copied to the Subscriber. Transactional and merge replication don't support the following commands:alter PARTITION FUNCTION, ALTER PARTITION Schem E, or the REBUILD with PARTITION statement of ALTER INDEX. Merge replication does not support the SWITCH PARTITION command of ALTER TABLE, but transactional replication does, as Des Cribed in the following section.
