Abstract
When tracing code is used, we usually pull the input port and output port out the waveform form to check the in-out relationship between the module. If necessary, we need to go deep into the internal register, wire and State. Therefore, if the input/output port can be displayed in different colors, it will help trace the code.

Step 1: Set color annotate signal by: input/output/inout
Tools-> preferences-> waveform tab-> General Tab
Step 2: Set the paint waveform with specific color/Pattern
Tools-> preferences-> waveform tab-> View options Tab
Step 3: Set the color of input/output/inout Port
Tools-> preferences-> waveform tab-> color/font/pattern tab-> color Tab
Select your favorite colors.
