The free software has functions that can be implemented without user control and cannot use password authentication.

　　Ii. Compile NEC's Win32 S5 proxy software for Win32

Step 1: Download The SOCKS5 package from http://www.socks.permeo.com. Of course, we can also search on the Internet. The latest scheme is socks5-v1.0r11.tar.gz.

Step 2: download and install cygwin software from http://www.cygwin.com for later compilation. We can also search online.

Step 3: extract socks5-v1.0r11.tar.gz to the tmp directory of cygwin, that is, cygwin \ TMP \ socks5-v1.0r11, decompression tool to use the most common WinRAR.

Step 4: Modify the cygwin \ USR \ include \ cygwin \ If. h file and add # define iff_pointopoint 0x10 after # define iff_loopback 0x8.

Step 3: The default port is 1080. Some readers may find it hard to remember or the company has closed the port. You can modify the default proxy port as follows, the method is to add the-B port parameter. For example, to change the proxy port to 8088use “s5.exe-B 8088.

TIPS: If you want to assign a user name and password to the user who uses the proxy to prevent unauthorized users from using the proxy server, you can use the following methods.

Edit socks5.conf and remove the "#" symbol in front of # auth-u. Then edit socks5.passwd. Follow the "user name and password format in one line to enter the user name and password, save and run socks5.exe, the client must add the corresponding user name and password to use the Proxy Server properly.
