In the past few days, I have written reports, reported reports, and communicated and talked with company leaders. This sentence is often said-"the management capability of managers is weak". However, when I have time to think about it, however, we found that although this sentence is easy to speak, we did not know in the report that the so-called weak management capabilities are exactly where they are, this actually requires clear indicators. Therefore, we need to break down the management capabilities. I think the management capabilities should include at least the following indicators:
1. Communication and coordination skills. You may have heard of one sentence: as an enterprise's senior executives, they often focus on conceptual competence. As a middle-level enterprise, they often focus on communicative competence, most people care about application capabilities. Therefore, if you want to enter the management layer, you should start with the communication ability. This so-called communication ability is actually the communication and coordination ability. As a manager, it is actually achieved by the manager. Therefore, only the manager with strong communication and coordination skills can communicate and coordinate with relevant persons and departments, make sure that all personnel can accept your requirements to achieve your goals. Therefore, communication and coordination are the basic capabilities of managers.
2. plan management capability. As a manager, you must carefully consider the work to be carried out in advance, set up an orderly work plan, and effectively control the implementation of the Plan, in order to better grasp the progress of the work, to achieve the goal of the work, this is the ability of planning and planning control. A qualified manager must have strong planning ability. Before any work is carried out, he must first make an overall plan for the work, and set the difficulties, highlights, links, and details of the work, all of them should be clear about how to analyze personnel, materials, and funds in advance, develop a reasonable work plan, and then implement accurate control based on the work plan, this will inevitably make the achievement of work goals more effective.
3. Stress management capability. Managers are actually bridges between the top and the grass-roots, so they need to bear the dual pressure from their superiors and subordinates. Therefore, strong stress management capabilities are very important, only by being able to withstand a large amount of work pressure and ideological pressure and effectively relieve the pressure can we ensure smooth work. At the same time, as managers, they also need self-discipline, because as managers, they often have to play an exemplary role, so they need to well constrain their own behavior, and even do not necessarily require employees to do so in many cases, but managers must do it. This is actually a type of pressure, so it is also included in the pressure management capability.
4. Problem solving capability. During the operation of an enterprise, any department may encounter various problems. Therefore, the handling of various problems is a very important task for managers, whether or not to effectively solve various problems is a key factor to evaluate the management capability of managers. Therefore, the problem solving capability is also an important indicator of the management capability.
5. Identify subordinate capabilities. Since it is a manager, it is naturally necessary to manage "people". How can we manage good people? I think the most important thing is to put "suitable people in the right positions, that is to say, let "the right people do the right thing". Therefore, managers need to be able to accurately judge the capabilities of their subordinates and assign work tasks based on their capabilities, this ensures the efficient completion of various tasks and the "Talented People" of subordinates, so as to mobilize their enthusiasm.
6. Leadership. This kind of ability is the most amazing. If we say that the previous ability is "hard", I think the leadership ability can be said to be "soft. The so-called leadership ability is to influence subordinates through personal cultivation and charm of managers, so that subordinates can work willingly, so that they can consciously work hard for you. In general, leadership is more difficult to cultivate. It is more often related to the relationship between personality and emotional intelligence. Some people may not have strong leadership capabilities even after a lifetime of management, however, some people may not do management, but have strong leadership capabilities. They can quickly become leaders among others.
In fact, the management capability should include more content, but I think the above points are more important. Of course, managers at different levels, the requirements for various management indicators are also different. You may have read many management capability evaluation tools. I often feel that my management capabilities are insufficient, but I never thought about my weakness. After the above analysis, I have a clearer understanding of my management capabilities, it seems that capability decomposition is still very useful. However, when evaluating management capabilities, it is best to analyze the specific situations of various indicators based on your usual behavior performance.
