Struts is a free open source Java EE Web Layer application architecture that inherits the features of MVC, including framework classes, help classes, and custom JSP tag libraries, as well as all applications based on the Java EE Model2 design pattern. The goal of struts is to comprehensively mitigate the burden of an enterprise-class Web application for components. Struts is characterized by high scalability and a growing list of features that implement the performance logic and templates that compose the soul of struts.

The controller (Controller) accepts requests from the client mainly by the servlet in the Actionservlet class, intercepts and distributes the requests to the corresponding action class, and the controller is responsible for filling the actionform with the corresponding request parameters. and passed to the Action Class (action). The action class implements the core business logic that can access JavaBean or invoke EJBS. The last action class passes control to the subsequent JSP file to generate the view. All control logic is configured using the Struts-config.xml file.

Models are mainly in the form of one or more JavaBean that represent the state of the application, which are grouped into 3 categories: Action form, action, JavaBean (or EJB), Derive a specific action object from the action based on different requests, invoke the business logic built by the bean to process the object, and create a wrapper for the client form data by the Actionform derived class.

View is built primarily by JSP, and struts itself contains a set of extensible custom Tag libraries (Taglib) that simplify the process of creating user interfaces: Bean tags, HTML tags, Logic tags, and template The Tags,struts framework establishes a link between view and model through these custom tags.

4 Soft-Switching network configuration management system using Java technology to realize Web mode

The process of the various applications in the configuration management system is roughly the same, first the system administrator requests through the client (Web browser), the Servlet filter requests the type, if it belongs to the struts scope, forwards it to the controller (Controller) The controller receives the request and forwards the request based on the mapping rules defined in the Struts-config.xml, and if it is required actionform, it creates a actionform example and invokes the Validate method for data validation, if Actionform is not required, such as a link request , the Excute method of the action is invoked directly, and if the result of the processing is successful, the action returns the Actionforword object, which forwards and produces a view based on the defined mapping rules. and return to the administrator to confirm the results of this operation request.

The specific development process is divided into three steps, first, to create a view, the development of the use of JSP and Struts tag library, the key is to design the page according to the requirements of the software and establish the relationship between the view and the model. Second, the definition of a controller (Controller), the core of which is the Struts-config.xml configuration, is defined as both the user request and the Actionform and action mapping rules that the servlet intercepts. Finally, the design model, according to the software functional requirements to design the necessary corresponding JavaBean to meet the different user request business processing logic.

In the specific development work, the tiles technology and the Dynaactionform class (proposed in Struts1.1) are adopted. Tiles powerful template features enable the most reusability and flexibility of the page, and the use of Dynaactionform classes eliminates the need to create a specific actionform class to reduce the number of actionform.
