Router tplink882 solution to failed wireless Bridge connection:
For older products, in the Admin interface click Run Status > Wireless status, WDS status continues to display scanning, initialization, correlation, etc., as shown below:
The above phenomenon indicates that the WDS bridge did not succeed. Use the following methods to troubleshoot problems:
1, confirm the bridge is the correct signal
When you set up a wireless bridge, the router scans for all the wireless signals that surround it, and if you choose a wireless signal that is not the bridge you want to connect to, or if you enter an incorrect key, you will not be able to bridge successfully.
WORKAROUND: Please confirm the signal name and wireless password of the main router first. To reopen the bridge, in the bridging settings, select the wireless network name of the primary router and enter the wireless password for the primary router.
2, turn off the main router wireless MAC address filtering
The main router if the wireless MAC address filtered Whitelist (the new version of the router is Wireless access control), but allow the list does not have a sub-route MAC address, will cause wireless bridge failure, to the Tp-link router (traditional interface) as an example, the following figure:
Workaround: Turn off wireless MAC address filtering on the main router.
Note: If the primary route does not turn off wireless MAC address filtering, when you set up WDS, you can try to turn off wireless MAC address filtering on the primary router, and after the WDS Bridge succeeds, locate the MAC address of the secondary router in the device management (or Wireless Settings > hosts list) of the primary router. Add it to the allowed list, and then turn on the main router's filtering function.
3, check the main router signal strength
If the main router wireless signal is too weak, the wireless bridge will also be unsuccessful or unstable phenomenon.
Workaround: Adjust the distance between the secondary router and the main router, the signal strength of the main router being bridged is suggested to be above 2 or 2 (the old version of the router will show signal strength, the recommended strength is 20dB and above).
4. Use the main router to bridge the auxiliary router
If the first three steps do not solve the problem, first turn off the wireless bridging function of the secondary router, open the main router wireless bridge (or WDS) scan the secondary router signal, test whether the bridge can be successful.
It is important to note that if the primary router is a cloud router, do not operate this step.
If the problem is still unresolved, it is recommended to record the main, secondary router product model and hardware version, call the router manufacturer for technical support.
